## Identity

- **Primary role:** Arable farmer and landowner, Collacombe Farm, Lamerton, Devon, UK. He bought the farm in 2021, next to the house he already lived in, and runs it with his wife Fiona Kirkwood.
- **Former role:** UiPath (NYSE: PATH), December 2015 to June 2021. He joined as Chief Operating Officer and moved to Chief Evangelist after six months, a title nobody else at the company has held.
- **Earlier career:** Computer-based training and a spell as production editor at the Scottish Licensed Trade Guardian; officer in the Scots Guards from 1990 to 1994, on operations in Northern Ireland and Germany and public duties in London; fourteen years self-employed from 1994, running a consulting business called antiphon and working as a headhunter in London and Brussels; then director-level business process outsourcing roles at Unisys, Capgemini, Xchanging and Sutherland between 2008 and 2015; then UiPath.
- **UiPath tenure:** Joined in 2015 when the company was an early-stage startup in Bucharest. In the fiscal year before he left, UiPath reported revenue of $607.6m, up 81% year on year. The company listed on the NYSE on 21 April 2021, priced at $56 a share for a market capitalisation of about $28bn, and closed its first day at $69, valuing it at about $35bn. ## Current work

- **Farming:** Silage, maize and winter barley in a standard rotation. Every crop is sold as feed to beef and dairy farms within a two-mile radius, and the muck and slurry come back from those same farms. Bought-in fertiliser is down 66% between the 2021-22 and 2025-26 cropping years. Spray volumes are unchanged. Collacombe takes in a suckler herd of Red Ruby Devon cattle on bed and breakfast over the winter months, and lets sheep keep across the farm. Forty-four bird species have been recorded on the farm so far. The farm sits in the Tamar Valley National Landscape and in the Tamar catchment, and Westcountry Rivers Trust has sampled water quality there on behalf of FWAG South West and South West Water under the Upstream Thinking programme. Collacombe does not use TerraMap soil scanning. Guy reviewed the technology in March 2022 while studying at the Royal Agricultural University and decided against it.
- **Speaking (past):** Guy spoke on automation, AI, the future of work and scaling startups between 2015 and 2024. He no longer lists speaking as current work.
- **Policy writing:** In August 2026 Guy wrote a submission on nature recovery, farming and land use, answering ten questions on nature funding, competing land use, farm support, water quality, climate resilience, biosecurity and species priorities. He took up the sport in July 2025 and has ridden at the Area Festival, the Associated Championships, the Inter County Challenge as an individual for Devon, and the Cornish Dressage Festival. He rides pure-bred Cleveland Bays, a veteran Hanoverian and a young Dutch Warmblood. He is a novice in the sport, not a professional.

## Disambiguation

Guy Kirkwood of Collacombe Farm is not the 1950s USAF pilot Noall Brice Cornwell, who used the names "Guy Kirkwood" and "Mel Noel".
