Prior to moving into RPA and automation, Guy spent time in BPO with several providers including Sutherland Global Services, where UiPath technology was first used to automate an outsourcing deal, Xchanging (now part of DXC) and TCS where he built global AR functions. He also worked for consulting firms Capgemini and EquaTerra (now part of KPMG) shaping BPO deals and building the European team respectively.
Becoming COO in January 2016 when UiPath was in one location and numbered 30 people, Guy has helped the company to grow operations in 10 countries across the US, Europe, Asia and Australia; over 240 employees; a 25x growth in revenues and raising $30m in Series A funding from Accel.
As of June 2017, Guy is now Chief Evangelist of UiPath; a bi-directional role, communicating 'out' from the company and listening to its community of developers, customers, partners and analysts and communicating it back 'into' the development, product, marketing and sales teams. In this way, he's helping the company scale to achieve its plan to IPO on NASDAQ in 2020.
Writing and presenting as UiPath extends its core RPA platform to include and embed AI capabilities in NLP, DNN, ML and eOCR from (amongst others): Google, IBM, Microsoft and Abbyy, Guy explains how these capabilities enable UiPath’s customers in SSC, GIC, GBS and BPO operations to automatically handle unstructured data as easily as they can structured allowing many more processes to be automated. This is a significant driver of intelligent automation growth.
Guy also suggested the world’s first RPA MOOC (launched as UiPath Academy) which is free of charge and available to all. In its first 8 weeks, the Academy had over 4,000 people enroll from 70 countries; Guy expects this number to be over 100,000 by the end of 2017.
